Muller Intuitiv (intuis) smart home integration, free and open source

Muller Intuitiv radiators through the intuis Connect cloud: rooms, setpoints, modes, consumption.
Overview
This integration controls Muller Intuitiv connected radiators from Gladys: the Muller, Campa, Airelec, Applimo or Noirot radiators fitted with the connected module and set up with the intuis Connect app (formerly "Muller Intuitiv with Netatmo"). It goes through the intuis cloud, like the app: Gladys sees what the app sees, and what you change in Gladys shows in the app.
For each room: the measured temperature, the setpoint, the mode (schedule or manual), the heating preset (schedule, away, frost protection), whether it heats right now, the open window detection, the presence and the electricity consumed when your radiators measure it. For the home: the home mode and the active weekly schedule.
Independent integration, not affiliated with Muller, Groupe Atlantic or intuis. Developed without the hardware: it relies on the API documented by community projects (Home Assistant, Jeedom, Node-RED). Feedback is welcome on the Gladys forum or in the GitHub issues.
Requirements
- Gladys 5.2.0 or newer.
- Radiators already installed and set up in the intuis Connect app, with their gateway online.
- The e-mail and the password of your intuis Connect account.
Configuration
- In Gladys, open Integrations, install Muller Intuitiv (intuis), then open its Configuration tab.
- Enter the e-mail and the password of the intuis Connect app, then save. The connection status shows at the top of the screen.
- The Test the connection button tells how many homes and rooms were found.
- Open the Discovery tab: every room and the home are listed. Add the ones you want.
Optional settings:
- Duration of a setpoint set from Gladys: how long a temperature chosen in Gladys holds before the room returns to its schedule, like the "+" and "-" of the app. By default, the duration set in the intuis app.
- Track the consumption of each room: on by default.
- Language of the feature names: French by default. Names are fixed when a device is added: a change applies to the devices added afterwards.
The password stays in Gladys and is only sent to intuis to sign in. The integration keeps in its
/data folder the session tokens intuis hands over, never the password.
Devices
The home
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Home mode | Schedule, Away or Frost protection, for the whole home. Settable from Gladys. |
| Active schedule | The name of the weekly schedule chosen in the app (read only). |
Each room
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Temperature | The temperature measured by the radiators of the room. |
| Setpoint | The target temperature, 7 to 30 °C by half a degree. Changing it from Gladys holds it for the chosen duration, then the room returns to its schedule. |
| Schedule or manual | "Auto" while the room follows its schedule, "Heating" while a manual setpoint holds. Choosing "Auto" hands the room back to its schedule. |
| Heating preset | Schedule, Away or Frost protection for this room only. During a manual setpoint, it shows what resumes afterwards. |
| Heating | Whether a radiator of the room heats right now. Only when the radiators report it (not on a pilot wire). |
| Open window | The open window detection of the radiators: "Open" when a sudden temperature drop stopped the heating. |
| Presence | The built-in presence sensor, on the radiators that have one. |
| Consumption | The electricity used by the room, per half hour (or per day when intuis only gives the daily total), fed to the energy monitoring of Gladys. |
Heating, Open window, Presence and Consumption only show when your radiators provide them. When one appears later (the consumption may take a day to come up), the Discovery tab offers Update on the room.
Turning a room completely off is not offered: a radiator switched off by mistake in winter can let a pipe freeze. Frost protection is the safe stop; turning off stays possible in the app.
The consumption goes into the Energy tab of Gladys: attach the rooms to your meter and your contract (flat rate, peak / off-peak…) to see its cost. Half-hour readings split peak and off-peak hours.
Widget
Add the Heating rooms widget to a dashboard. It shows every room on one line (measured temperature → setpoint, mode, open window) and three buttons for the home mode: Schedule, Away, Frost protection. The current mode carries a check mark. With several homes, pick one in the widget settings.
Scenes
The integration declares no trigger: a temperature, an open window or a mode are device states the scene editor already watches ("When a device state changes").
It adds one action, in the Integrations category of the scene editor:
- Set a room setpoint for a while: pick the room, the temperature ("20.5", a scene variable is accepted) and the duration. Then the room returns to its schedule. The action gives the time it returns to the schedule to the next actions.
The device features can also be driven with the usual "Control a device" action: home mode, setpoint, heating preset of a room.
Scene examples
- Leaving home: when the last person leaves, set the Home mode to Away; when someone comes back, set it back to Schedule.
- Evening bath: every day at 7 pm, Set the setpoint of the bathroom to 22.5 °C for 1 hour.
- Forgotten window: when the Open window of the living room turns "Open", send a message; the radiators already stop heating on their own.
- Holidays: before leaving, set the Home mode to Frost protection.
Pace and quotas
- The rooms and the home are read every 5 minutes, and a few seconds after each command. One reading costs two requests to the intuis cloud.
- The consumption is read once an hour, one request per added room that provides it. intuis completes it late: allow up to a day for the current day.
- intuis publishes no quota. Its API is Netatmo's, whose documented limit is 500 requests per hour and per account: the integration makes about 30 for one home. When intuis asks to slow down, the readings stop for 15 minutes.
- After a refused password, the integration waits 30 minutes before trying again, so it never locks the account. Saving the configuration or clicking Test the connection tries again at once.
Troubleshooting
- "intuis refused the e-mail or the password": check them by signing in to the intuis Connect app, then save the configuration again.
- "The intuis cloud does not answer": the intuis service or your Internet connection is down. The devices turn "unreachable" and everything resumes on its own.
- A room shows offline: its radiator no longer talks to the gateway (power cut, module unplugged). Check it in the app.
- The setpoint goes back by itself: the chosen duration is over and the room resumes its schedule. Lengthen the Duration of a setpoint set from Gladys.
- No consumption: not every radiator measures it (pilot-wire ones in particular). The integration asks again once a week.
- For more details, add
LOG_LEVEL=debugto the variables of the integration and read its logs: they never show the password or the tokens.
Limitations
- Developed without the hardware nor an intuis account: the exchanges with the cloud follow the community projects and were not tried on a real installation by the author.
- Goes through the cloud: without Internet, or if intuis changes its API, nothing comes up anymore.
- The weekly schedule is edited in the intuis app, not in Gladys.
- No complete stop of a room from Gladys (see above), and no "boost" mode.
- The consumption arrives late and only some radiators provide it.
Configuration settings
These are the settings Muller Intuitiv (intuis) asks for in its configuration screen in Gladys.
| Setting | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your intuis Connect account | section | No | Enter the e-mail and the password you use in the intuis Connect app (formerly Muller Intuitiv with Netatmo). Gladys then finds every room of your home: open the Discovery tab. |
string | Yes | ||
| Password | secret | Yes | Kept by Gladys, only sent to intuis to sign in. |
| Duration of a setpoint set from Gladys | select | No | Then the room returns to its programme, as with the + and - of the app. |
| Track the consumption of each room | boolean | No | When your radiators measure it. Read once an hour, with a delay of up to a day. |
| Language of the feature names | select | No | Used for the devices added from now on. |
How to install Muller Intuitiv (intuis) in Gladys
- In Gladys, open Integrations: Muller Intuitiv (intuis) appears in the catalog, next to the native integrations, with a community badge.
- Click Install. Gladys pulls the Docker image (
ghcr.io/guim31/gladys-intuis:1.0.1), starts it in a sandbox isolated from the core, and generates the integration's interface (devices, discovery and configuration). - Open the Configuration screen of the integration, fill in the settings, and save.
- You can also install it directly from its repository URL: https://github.com/guim31/gladys-intuis.
Muller Intuitiv (intuis) requires Gladys >=5.2.0. The catalog inside Gladys refreshes every hour, so a new version becomes available at most one hour after its release.
Not running Gladys yet? It is free and open source: follow the installation guide to get started.
About external integrations
Muller Intuitiv (intuis) is an external integration: a community integration packaged as a Docker container and published on GitHub, that Gladys installs in one click and runs in a sandbox isolated from its core. It is published and maintained by guim31, not by the Gladys core team.
