Gaz de Bordeaux smart home integration, free and open source

Gaz de Bordeaux integration for Gladys Assistant

Gas and electricity consumption and costs from your Gaz de Bordeaux customer account.

This integration connects Gladys to your Gaz de Bordeaux customer account (life.gazdebordeaux.fr). It reads your gas and electricity consumption there, and its cost, to show them in Gladys, chart them and start scenes.

It works over the Internet (cloud badge): nothing to install at home, no module on the meter.

Before you start

  • You need an account on life.gazdebordeaux.fr that shows your consumption. Sign in once from a browser to check.
  • Gaz de Bordeaux publishes the consumption of a day one or two days later (the time it takes the Gazpar or Linky meter to report it). Gladys therefore always shows the latest day read, not today.
  • Gladys 5.2 or later is required.

Configuration

  1. Open the Configuration tab of the integration.
  2. Fill in the email and password of your customer account.
  3. Adjust if needed:
    • Refresh interval (hours): how often the customer account is read, every 6 hours by default (1 to 24). Readings only change once a day: there is no point going lower.
    • Days of history to import: past days sent to Gladys when a device is created, 30 by default (up to 90), so the charts do not start empty.
    • Gas / electricity alert threshold (kWh/day): above it, the "High daily consumption" trigger fires. 0 turns it off.
  4. Save. The Test the connection button checks the email and password and lists the contracts found.
  5. Open the Discovery tab: one device is offered per contract ("Gaz de Bordeaux – Gaz", "Gaz de Bordeaux – Électricité"). Add the ones you want to follow.

The password is a secret field: it is never written to the logs.

What you get

Each "contract" device carries read-only sensors:

FeatureUnitContractValue
Consumption of the day readkWhallone value per day, dated by its day
Cost of the day read€allone value per day, dated by its day
Gas volume of the day readm³gasone value per day, dated by its day
Month consumptionkWhallsince the 1st of the month
Month cost€allsince the 1st of the month
Year consumptionkWhallyear total given by Gaz de Bordeaux
Year cost€allyear total given by Gaz de Bordeaux
Daily consumptionkWhelectricitysent to the Gladys Energy module

Daily values are dated by the day they describe, not by the time of the read: the chart shows Monday's consumption on Monday, even when it arrived on Wednesday.

When a device is created, the last days (see Days of history to import) are imported. They are never sent twice, even after a restart.

The connection badge

  • Cloud: the last read succeeded.
  • Cloud with an orange dot: the customer account answers, but the latest reading is more than 4 days old. The meter may have stopped reporting: check it on the Gaz de Bordeaux website.
  • Unreachable: the last read failed (see "Troubleshooting").

Actions

  • Test the connection: signs in with the email and password entered and lists the contracts found.
  • Refresh now: reads the customer account right away and gives the latest day read.
  • My contract prices: shows the current prices of your contracts, as espaceclient.gazdebordeaux.fr gives them (see "Energy contracts").

Scenes

The integration adds its cards to the scene editor, under Integrations.

Triggers

  • New daily reading: Gaz de Bordeaux published a new day. Optionally filter on a contract or an energy. The following actions can read {{triggerEvent.data.date}}, {{triggerEvent.data.kwh}}, {{triggerEvent.data.cost}} and {{triggerEvent.data.volume}} (gas).
  • High daily consumption: the new day goes above the alert threshold set in the configuration. Variables: date, kwh, threshold.
  • Customer account unreachable: reading failed after it had worked. Filter on the reason (sign-in refused, request blocked, network, unexpected answer, no contract). Variables: reason, message.
  • Contract prices changed: a current price of espaceclient.gazdebordeaux.fr changed (kWh, peak/off-peak or subscription, incl. VAT). Filter on the energy if you like. Variables: offer, kwh_price, peak_price, off_peak_price, subscription, and the previous value of each (previous_kwh_price…). The prices are read at every refresh and compared as the website gives them: no false alarm from rounding. The alert comes when the website shows the new price.

A day, or a price change, is announced once, even after a restart. On the very first read nothing is announced: only the following changes are.

Example: Contract prices changed then Send a message "New Gaz de Bordeaux price: {{triggerEvent.data.kwh_price}} €/kWh (was {{triggerEvent.data.previous_kwh_price}}), subscription {{triggerEvent.data.subscription}} €/month". Then create a new Gladys energy contract (see "When your prices change").

Actions

  • Refresh the Gaz de Bordeaux readings: reads the customer account right away. Outputs: success and contracts (number of contracts read).
  • Get a Gaz de Bordeaux consumption: pick a contract and a period (last day read, this month, this year). Outputs: kwh, cost, volume, date and available (false when there is no data). Handy for a "Yesterday: 42 kWh, €5.10" message.

Example: every morning at 8:00, Get a consumption (last day read), then Send a message "Gas on {{date}}: {{kwh}} kWh, €{{cost}}".

Dashboard

Add the Gaz de Bordeaux consumption widget to a dashboard. It shows:

  • the consumption and cost of the latest day read and of the month;
  • a bar chart of the last 30 days;
  • the energy, the latest day read, the gas volume, the current price (read on espaceclient), the year total, the time of the last read and the connection state;
  • a Refresh button.

In the widget settings, pick the contract to show; left empty, it is the first one.

Energy contracts (electricity)

The integration adds contract templates to the Gladys contract wizard (Energy → the meter contract), so Gladys computes the cost of your electricity at the Gaz de Bordeaux prices. One template per offer and option:

OfferPricesTemplates
NovaFixe Éleclocked for 3 years at subscription, 10% below the regulated tariffBase, Peak/Off-peak
NovaFixe Bonus Éleclike NovaFixe, plus €100 off the first yearBase, Peak/Off-peak
NovaFlex Élecindexed on the regulated tariff (TRV), kWh excl. taxes 5% below itBase, Peak/Off-peak

Your offer is not in the list? (for example Ecodigo Elec, or an older offer no longer sold): pick the My contract template below, it works for every offer. Your offer is written in your customer account, line "Votre tarif".

The simplest: the "My contract" templates

The Gaz de Bordeaux – My contract – Base and – Peak/Off-peak templates take your own prices, for every offer (Ecodigo, NovaFixe, NovaFlex…). They are the ones of your customer account (espaceclient.gazdebordeaux.fr, line "Votre prix actuel"), given by the My contract prices button:

  1. Click My contract prices (Configuration tab of the integration).
  2. In Gladys, Energy → the contract of the Gaz de Bordeaux electricity meter, pick the My contract template of your option (Base or Peak/Off-peak).
  3. Type the prices the button gave: kWh price (Peak/Off-peak: peak and off-peak prices, and the off-peak hours) and subscription per month.

The prices are in the contract, as with the other templates: the wizard and the JSON of the contract show them. Gladys gives an integration no way to fill the wizard in, so they are typed once. When they change, the Contract prices changed scene trigger tells you: create a new contract (see "When your prices change").

Your prices: the "My contract prices" button

A fixed-price offer keeps the price of its subscription date, an indexed offer (Ecodigo Elec) moves with taxes and market: your price is not necessarily the one of today's grid. The My contract prices button (Configuration tab) reads your current prices on espaceclient.gazdebordeaux.fr (same email and password), line "Votre prix actuel" of the page of your contract, and gives them as they are, without any computation. Example:

Electricity, OFFRE ECODIGO ELEC 100% ÉLECTRICITÉ VERTE (BASE, 6 kVA): 0.160164 €/kWh, subscription 15.87 €/month.

These prices include VAT and taxes (CTA in the subscription, excise in the kWh), like the contracts Gladys offers. Copy them into the Gladys contract wizard (My contract template, or the one of your offer). Type them with a decimal point (15.87), as the button writes them: a pasted comma can be dropped by the field (15,87 becomes 1587, a subscription of about 51 € a day on the energy chart). If that happened, correct the price in the contract: that is a typo, not a price change.

For an electricity contract, the button also gives these prices as a Gladys tariff (JSON), ready to paste where Gladys asks for the tariff of a contract. It is the tariff a My contract contract gets. Peak/Off-peak adds an off-peak rule with your hours (when espaceclient gives them).

{
"tariff_version": 1,
"components": [
{ "key": "energy", "kind": "consumption", "rules": [], "fallback": { "price": 0.160164 } },
{ "key": "subscription", "kind": "fixed", "amount": 15.87, "per": "month" }
]
}

When the customer account cannot be read, the button says so: copy the prices from the page of your contract on espaceclient.gazdebordeaux.fr.

When your prices change

Leave the end date of your Gladys contract empty while your prices do not change. They may change along the way: a new grid (NovaFlex, Ecodigo Elec, end of a fixed-price period), or a tax (excise, VAT) that changes the price incl. VAT. Gaz de Bordeaux tells you, and so does the Contract prices changed scene trigger; the My contract prices button then gives the new prices.

  1. On the current contract, set the end date to the day before the change.
  2. Create a new contract starting on the day of the change, with the new prices.

The past days keep their old prices that way. Do not edit the prices of the existing contract: Gladys would reprice the whole history since the start of the contract.

The default prices: the official grids

The values offered by default are those of the official Gaz de Bordeaux price grids (incl. VAT, here the 1 October 2026 ones). They are downloaded every month from gazdebordeaux.fr: when a price changes, a new version of the integration offers the new prices to the contracts created afterwards. A contract already created keeps its prices: see When your prices change.

Good to know

  • Base works with the daily consumption this integration sends to the Energy module.
  • Peak/Off-peak needs a half-hourly consumption (a Linky meter read every 30 minutes by another integration). With the daily consumption only, Gladys cannot tell which kWh were off-peak: do not use this template then
  • Gas is not covered: Gladys energy contracts are for electricity only. The gas cost stays the one given by Gaz de Bordeaux ("Cost of the day read", "Month cost"… features).

Troubleshooting

The status message of the Configuration tab says what is wrong:

  • Sign-in refused: the email or password is wrong. Use the ones of life.gazdebordeaux.fr and check you can sign in from a browser.
  • The website blocked the request: the Gaz de Bordeaux website sometimes filters automated requests. The integration retries at the next refresh; if it lasts, open an issue on the GitHub repository.
  • Unreachable: Gladys has no Internet access, or the website is down.
  • No contract: the account has no visible gas or electricity contract.

The integration logs (Gladys → Integrations → Gaz de Bordeaux → logs) give the details. They never contain the password nor the session token.

This integration is not published by Gaz de Bordeaux: it reads the same data as your customer account. If the website changes, it may stop working until an update.

Configuration settings

These are the settings Gaz de Bordeaux asks for in its configuration screen in Gladys.

SettingTypeRequiredDescription
Getting startedsectionNoEnter the email and password of your Gaz de Bordeaux customer account (the ones of the life.gazdebordeaux.fr website). The integration reads your consumption from it a few times a day: Gaz de Bordeaux publishes each day's reading one or two days later. One device is offered per contract (gas, electricity).
EmailstringYesThe email you sign in to your Gaz de Bordeaux customer account with.
PasswordsecretYes
Refresh interval (hours)numberNoHow often the customer account is read. The readings change once a day: every 6 hours is plenty.
Days of history to importnumberNoDaily readings imported into Gladys when a device is created, so its charts do not start empty.
Gas alert threshold (kWh/day)numberNoThe "High daily consumption" scene trigger fires when a day of gas goes above it. 0 turns it off.
Electricity alert threshold (kWh/day)numberNoThe "High daily consumption" scene trigger fires when a day of electricity goes above it. 0 turns it off.

How to install Gaz de Bordeaux in Gladys

  1. In Gladys, open Integrations: Gaz de Bordeaux appears in the catalog, next to the native integrations, with a community badge.
  2. Click Install. Gladys pulls the Docker image (ghcr.io/prohand/gladys-gazdebordeaux:1.0.10), starts it in a sandbox isolated from the core, and generates the integration's interface (devices, discovery and configuration).
  3. Open the Configuration screen of the integration, fill in the settings, and save.
  4. You can also install it directly from its repository URL: https://github.com/prohand/gladys-gazdebordeaux.

Gaz de Bordeaux requires Gladys >=5.2.0. The catalog inside Gladys refreshes every hour, so a new version becomes available at most one hour after its release.

Not running Gladys yet? It is free and open source: follow the installation guide to get started.

About external integrations

Gaz de Bordeaux is an external integration: a community integration packaged as a Docker container and published on GitHub, that Gladys installs in one click and runs in a sandbox isolated from its core. It is published and maintained by prohand, not by the Gladys core team.
