Fluvius (Flanders) smart home integration, free and open source

Unofficial: Mijn Fluvius smart meter (Flanders): consumption, injection, capacity peak.
Unofficial integration, not affiliated with Fluvius. It reads your digital meter in Flanders through your Mijn Fluvius customer account and feeds its electricity consumption to the Gladys energy monitoring.
Never tested on a real Mijn Fluvius account. It is built from the project sander110419/Fluvius-home-assistant (whose author tested it live) and from sample answers. Please report what works and what does not on the Gladys forum.
What you get
One device per meter you enter (electricity and/or gas).
Electricity:
- Consumption (30 min) or Consumption (day): fed to the energy monitoring of Gladys, dated by Fluvius; the costs of your energy contract are computed on it.
- Consumption, last published day (kWh): the total of the latest complete day Fluvius published, for a dashboard.
- Injection, last published day (kWh): what you sent to the grid (solar panels) that day. Shown only: never counted as consumption nor billed.
- Monthly peak, capacity tariff (kW): the highest quarter-hour average power of the latest month Fluvius published, the base of the Flemish capacity tariff.
Gas: only Consumption, last published day (kWh). The gas stays out of the energy monitoring in this version: Gladys would attach it to the main electric meter and price it at the electricity tariff, as it has no gas contracts yet.
Fluvius publishes the readings after the fact, usually the next day, sometimes later, and corrects some. The integration reads Mijn Fluvius 4 times a day: once a day it reads again the last days (7 by default), the other times the last 3 days. Gladys keeps one value per half hour (or per day): a reading read again or corrected never counts twice.
Before you start
- Gladys 5.2.0 or newer (dated consumption of the energy monitoring), with its time zone set to Europe/Brussels, Europe/Paris or Europe/Amsterdam (the same clock as Belgium: the days of Fluvius then match the days of Gladys).
- A personal Mijn Fluvius account that signs in with an e-mail and a password. Professional accounts (itsme / eID) cannot be used.
- Two-step verification: the integration cannot type a code. If your sign-in asks for one (or for new terms, or a password change), the integration says so in its status: sign in once on mijn.fluvius.be in a browser, or turn the two-step verification off if Fluvius lets you.
- The EAN (18 digits, starts with 54) and the serial number of each meter (both required): they are shown in Mijn Fluvius and on your bills.
- For the detailed electricity readings: turn the quarter-hour readings on in Mijn Fluvius. Otherwise, choose the daily readings.
Setup
- Install the integration from the Gladys store.
- Fill in the e-mail and the password of Mijn Fluvius, then the EAN and the serial number of your electricity meter and/or your gas meter.
- Choose the electricity readings: detailed (quarter hours, sent by half hour) or daily. Choose before creating the device: the type of the consumption feature is fixed when the device is created (after a change, delete the device and create it again; until then the status says so and the device keeps its readings). The gas is always read by day.
- Save, then press Test the connection: it signs in and shows yesterday's total of each meter.
- In the Discover tab, create the devices. Their readings are read right away.
- In the energy settings of Gladys, attach your energy contract to the electricity consumption.
Privacy and security
- The password is kept by Gladys in its database (masked in the interface,
not encrypted), never shown again, and only sent to Fluvius
(
login.fluvius.be): it is posted, in https, only to the sign-in server Mijn Fluvius names or to afluvius.beaddress. The integration refuses any page or redirect that leaves Fluvius (or its Microsoft sign-in service,b2clogin.com). - The access token stays in memory: after a restart of the integration, it signs in again (a reconnection to Gladys keeps it).
- Nothing is sent anywhere else. The logs never hold the e-mail, the password, the tokens or the addresses called.
Limits
- The data comes from the customer portal, not from an official API: a change of Mijn Fluvius can break the integration until it is updated (the status then says "The Fluvius login changed"; tried again every 6 hours).
- One electricity meter and one gas meter per integration.
- The gas is not in the energy monitoring (see above).
- The injection and the monthly peak are shown, not used by the energy monitoring: Gladys has no dated production path for an integration yet.
- A half hour with one quarter hour missing is never published, unless Fluvius completes it within the days read again.
- If the integration (or Gladys) stays stopped longer than the "Days read again" setting, the days before that window are never filled in: raise the setting (up to 31) for a day after a long stop.
- A peak Gladys may compute from the 30-minute consumption is not the peak of the capacity tariff, which Fluvius measures over 15 minutes: use the "Monthly peak" sensor.
- Days and quarter hours follow the Brussels time (23- and 25-hour days included).
Troubleshooting
- "refused the e-mail or the password": check them in a browser on mijn.fluvius.be and save again. Tried again every 6 hours only, so that the account is never locked.
- "asks for a step only a browser can do": sign in once on mijn.fluvius.be (code, terms, password change). Tried again every 6 hours.
- "refused a fresh access token" or "The Fluvius login changed": Mijn Fluvius changed; tried again every 6 hours, an update of the integration may be needed.
- "refused the readings of the … meter": check the EAN and the serial number, and that the account manages this meter.
- "No detailed readings…": turn the quarter-hour readings on in Mijn Fluvius, or choose the daily readings.
- "was created with … readings": the electricity readings setting changed after the device was created; delete the device and create it again to follow it.
- "asked to slow down": nothing to do; every call waits for the time Fluvius asked (1 minute to 6 hours), even across a reconnection.
- "could not be read… new try in N min": a passing problem (network, Fluvius down); tried again after 15, 30, 60, then every 120 minutes.

Configuration settings
These are the settings Fluvius (Flanders) asks for in its configuration screen in Gladys.
| Setting | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mijn Fluvius account (Flanders, Belgium) | section | No | Unofficial connector, not affiliated with Fluvius. It signs in to Mijn Fluvius with your e-mail and password, like the website, and reads your digital meter: the electricity consumption is sent to the Gladys energy monitoring (by half hour or by day, with the delay of Fluvius, usually a day or more), the injection of the last published day and the monthly peak of the capacity tariff are shown as sensors. The gas meter only shows the total of the last published day (it stays out of the energy monitoring until Gladys handles gas contracts). Personal accounts only (professional accounts need itsme/eID). Two-step verification cannot be handled: the integration says so if your login asks for it. |
| Mijn Fluvius e-mail | string | Yes | |
| Mijn Fluvius password | secret | Yes | Kept by Gladys in its database (not encrypted), never shown again, only sent to Fluvius (login.fluvius.be). |
| Electricity EAN | string | No | The 18-digit code of the connection point (starts with 54), on your bills and in Mijn Fluvius. Empty: no electricity meter. |
| Electricity meter serial number | string | No | Required with the EAN. Shown in Mijn Fluvius with the meter and printed on it (e.g. 1SAG1100000000). |
| Gas EAN | string | No | Empty: no gas meter. The gas device only shows the total of the last published day: it stays out of the energy monitoring for now. |
| Gas meter serial number | string | No | Required with the EAN. Shown in Mijn Fluvius with the meter and printed on it. |
| Electricity readings | select | No | Detailed: quarter hours, sent by half hour; they must be turned on in Mijn Fluvius. Daily: one value per day. Chosen before creating the electricity device: changing it later needs the device deleted and created again. The gas is always read by day. |
| Days read again | number | No | Once a day, these last days are read again to catch the readings Fluvius publishes late or corrects (the other reads take the last 3 days). |
How to install Fluvius (Flanders) in Gladys
- In Gladys, open Integrations: Fluvius (Flanders) appears in the catalog, next to the native integrations, with a community badge.
- Click Install. Gladys pulls the Docker image (
ghcr.io/lm1lc3n7/gladys-fluvius:0.1.1), starts it in a sandbox isolated from the core, and generates the integration's interface (devices, discovery and configuration). - Open the Configuration screen of the integration, fill in the settings, and save.
- You can also install it directly from its repository URL: https://github.com/LM1LC3N7/gladys-fluvius.
Fluvius (Flanders) requires Gladys >=5.2.0. The catalog inside Gladys refreshes every hour, so a new version becomes available at most one hour after its release.
Not running Gladys yet? It is free and open source: follow the installation guide to get started.
About external integrations
Fluvius (Flanders) is an external integration: a community integration packaged as a Docker container and published on GitHub, that Gladys installs in one click and runs in a sandbox isolated from its core. It is published and maintained by LM1LC3N7, not by the Gladys core team.
