Frequently asked questions
How do I get a CallMeBot API key?
For WhatsApp, open CallMeBot's WhatsApp page, send the activation message to their number and wait for the reply containing your API key. For Signal, start a chat with their Signal bot and follow the steps to receive your key. You then paste that key into the CallMeBot integration in Gladys.
Can Gladys send WhatsApp messages from a scene?
Yes. Once CallMeBot is configured with your phone number and API key, add a "Send message" action to any scene and Gladys will push the notification to your WhatsApp whenever the scene runs.
Can CallMeBot receive replies or send images?
No. CallMeBot in Gladys is one-way only: Gladys can send messages but cannot receive replies, and it does not support sending images. Rate limits set by CallMeBot also apply.
